If you never happened to taste British cuisine, get your chance at this restaurant. You are to find nicely cooked lamb, burgers and chicken. Try good Scones, pudding and ice cream. Tara provides the delicious wine selection. Take your chance to taste great tea or good coffee.
There is a lovely view from this place. The success of this spot wouldn't be possible without the hospitable staff. Spectacular service is something that visitors highlight in their comments. According to the reviewers' opinions, prices are attractive. The fancy decor and peaceful atmosphere let guests feel relaxed here. We stayed at Hatton Court Lodge for three nights and had breakfast and dinner each day. The breakfast menu was extensive and well cooked. However, the full English breakfast that we had in the last morning was disappointing. The sausage was cheap and tasteless and the bacon was overcooked. This was surprising in contrast to the lovely meals we had the previous two mornings (eggs benedict and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon). Tara's missed a trick by not serving locally sorced sausages. The dinner menu was great, but the service in the evenings was slow, compared to breakfast. On our last night a French tour party of about 20 arrived as well as a party of 14. Other guests were left waiting an inordinate length of time for their meals. There should have more staff available that night. The views from the restaurant were brilliant and all the staff were friendly and overall our stay was lovely. Price per person: £20–30

Not one to write bad reviews, as i understand places are struggling however, this was very disappointing.Returned here for our anniversary and had afternoon tea. No music on in the background, tables were dirty, we were the only people in the restaurant. Atmosphere , well there wasn't one. The waiter was nice and attentive though. The scones were rock hard, brownies were so hard and with no flavour. The lemon tart was not fresh apart from a strawberry on the top! Absolutely nothing about the food was ok. It was a really tasteless afternoon tea , and for £22.50 PP ,to eat hard ,not fresh food was not worth the hassle of arranging childcare. 5 years ago, Hatton court was much better. Today it was utterly disappointing and will not be recommending Hatton court or returning. A real shame. Price per person: £40–50 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1
