We recently spent a couple days in Sintra stopped by Tasca do Xico for an afternoon bite to each. The restaurant is located along a narrow walkway, Rua Arco Do Teixeira, just a couple minutes from the National Palace. Opening hours are 11am to 12am daily. Tasca do Xico has indoor and outdoor seating. Menu features Portuguese cuisine. Prices are a bit high but not unexpectedly so considering the location. We ordered a round of drinks, cheese and chorizo. The drinks were fine, cheese pretty good but chorizo was disappointing for the price they charged (€9.50 per sausage) It was very fatty and surprisingly bland (not spicy). Service was fine during our visit. Overall, we liked the location and ambience of Tasca do Xico more than the food and drink. If we were to visit again, we'd take a pass on the chorizo and try something different. Otherwise, it is not a bad choice for those seeking lunch or an afternoon break from area sightseeing.
