I’ve had breakfast here many times and the experience use to be excellent. Our server was always friendly, the food was top quality and tasty and the servings generous. However, last week my experience was the opposite. Serving was smaller but the price was the same. They could not make chips because the power was off so I ordered two extra slices of their wonderful home baked bread instead but the chef sent word with the server that I could only have one slice. I ordered an omelette with several fillings and asked them to make it with 4 eggs instead of two so that the omelette can hold all the toppings I selected. My omelette arrived thin (obviously made with only 2 eggs) and torn because the fillings didn’t fit. Because the power was off when we arrived and their coffee machine was off we had Milo. I asked that mine be made strong because that is how I like it but it was very weak and disappointing. We were there quite long and so the power was on for a while so we asked the server for Cappuccinos as we had waited for the machine to warm back up. When she brought our coffees they were made with instant packets instead. As a paying customer (who would gladly pay for extras), why are my request simply ignored? I felt patronized and insulted. Furthermore, if you’re unable to deliver the full product advertised on your menu because the cheese grillers aren’t available, or the chips frier isn’t working for good reason, is it reasonable to still charge full price? Is it reasonable to notify the customer that you will not give an extra when you’re offering less value already at full charge? If I am willing to pay for extras, why deny me like you would your child’s request for sweets? I was gravely disappointed in Tassos to the extent that I don’t think I would return there or recommend the establishment to anyone. What a shame, I use to love this place and would go there with a friend once a month at least. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: R 200–250 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

We paid a lot of money and did not get what we paid for. Had a brunch for a lot of people. There was not enough food for everyone and each person could only get little food. They had to go buy KFC afterwards as it was people coming from far. Did not get R150 worth of food per person. Also not very friendly or accomodated staff/owner.
