This has always been one of my favorite comfort food spots in the Oxnard/Ventura area. Whenever I was craving something warm and comforting, their soups were my go-to, and I loved being able to order them through DoorDash when I didn't feel like going out. Unfortunately, I recently found out they've changed their menu to an all-you-can-eat format and no longer offer many of the individual items and soups I used to order. As someone who enjoyed specific menu favorites, this change was really disappointing. I understand businesses evolve, but I think it would have been much better to keep the option of ordering individual meals while offering all-you-can-eat as an additional choice. That way loyal customers could still enjoy their favorite dishes the way they always have. I'll definitely miss being able to order my favorite soups, and I hope they consider bringing back more flexible menu options in the future. Meal type: Dinner

味鼎used to be a one of kind premium Taiwanese style hotpot. But now the all you can eat menu is just a complete scam. Avoid at all cost! Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

Horribly overpriced, especially for poor quality food. Service was lovely, but many of the toppings were either overcooked/burnt, not what we ordered, or hazardous. The clams in our soup came in their shell, but all the shells were broken, with literal small SHARDS of shell floating around the soup. Very unsafe. I asked for no shellfish as I am sensitive to reactions, but there were shellfish bits in my soup still. Flavor was less than mid, way too salty (which is insane because i love salty), and not as expected for the soups ordered. Very disappointing, and will not be returning. I think that’s why the place was empty at dinner time. Not the restaurant’s fault, but worth noting for “atmosphere”: the homeless individuals surrounding the parking spots / general area were very pushy and tried to get in our car while we were still in it. Be cautious if you are a woman here at night. Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1 Dietary restrictions: Not exactly taken seriously
