Very nice, clean restaurant with friendly and welcoming staff. They started us off with a complimentary appetizer, which was a nice touch. We had the pasta and veal, along with a glass of wine each and water. The total was €52, which included a €3 service charge. I actually appreciated that because the staff didn’t pressure us to add an additional tip on top of the service charge. Overall, a very nice experience and a good value. I would definitely recommend it! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Ristorante Taverna Flavia in Rome and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal that delivers exceptional quality without feeling overpriced. From the moment we sat down, the experience felt special-this was for a party of 4. We really appreciated that the menu was not overly large or overwhelming. Instead, it was perfectly balanced, with enough variety to offer something for everyone while still feeling focused and carefully curated. Every dish we ordered was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. We started with the octopus, which was excellent and a perfect way to begin the meal. We then enjoyed several different main courses, including the veal with rabbit and the chicken. Each dish had its own character, and everything arrived beautifully prepared and at the right temperature. It was clear that a lot of attention goes into both the ingredients and the preparation. One of the nicest touches was the complimentary amuse-bouche sent out by the chef. It was an unexpected gesture and a great little introduction to the kitchen’s style. Those small details really added to the overall experience. The service was efficient, attentive, and professional. Our food came out at a comfortable pace, and we never felt rushed. The wine was excellent as well and complemented the meal perfectly. Dessert was another highlight overall. Most of the desserts we tried were fantastic and provided a great finish to the evening. The only exception was one dessert that had a texture that didn’t seem quite right to us and was also a little too heavy on the lavender. That said, it was a very minor disappointment in an otherwise excellent meal. Most importantly, we felt the entire experience was very well worth the price. The quality of the food, wine, service, and overall attention to detail made this feel like excellent value for a restaurant of this caliber. This was truly a 5-star experience for us. We would highly recommend Ristorante Taverna Flavia, and we would absolutely return the next time we’re in Rome. A wonderful restaurant, a beautifully balanced menu, excellent food and wine, and genuinely attentive service—exactly the kind of place that makes an evening in Rome memorable.
