great family run restaurant. When we visited it was busy but staff were very good, food was excellent as were the portion sizes. Clearly a place that caters mostly for locals but tourists made welcome Price per person: €35–40

What a wonderful place to dine! We dropped in here for a meal whilst staying in the area. We were welcomed warmly, chose our table and soon ordered our drinks and food. Within a few minutes our drinks arrived, followed by our starter. We sat back enjoying our beers and starter, and were amazed at the hard working staff who were on the go all the time. Our mains of Chicken Skewer and Mixed Grill were soon before us and wow!! Those portions are huge. Everything was cooked perfectly and was so tasty. We both struggled to finish, but tried our best. A few minutes after our meal, a complimentary pudding arrived, again very tasty, and with our bill, complimentary raki, and not a tiny glass full either. The biggest surprise was the cost. We both could not believe how inexpensive the meal was, only €28. Thank you and hats off to all at Taverna Bar Stratos. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €10–15
