I’ll start off with my reviews are honest, not harsh. We’ve been to a lot of Mexican restaurants and across the board, there is a higher level of expectation which is a compliment to culture. Unfortunately, I just didn’t experience that here. This was our first time at Tavo’s Tacos and although the food was fine (wouldn’t really go much past that), the service was sub-optimal. The quesadilla we got had virtually no cheese, fries were undercooked, and they were out of Michelada but the crunchwrap was fantastic and so were the chilaquiles! The waitress forgot to take our order and outside of bringing the food to us, that was the only time we saw her. We put our leftovers in the paper chip tray and used that instead because we never got a box. All while we were one of three total tables being serving at lunch in the entire place. Atmosphere was great and we really enjoyed that but given the other options in town, we might explore those. Bathroom was also not stocked and there were no paper towels to dry my hands after washing them which tells me the kitchen workers have no paper towels to dry their hands after going to the bathroom before returning to the kitchen. Probably won’t return but also one of those places I wouldn’t mind giving a second chance kind of situation here Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–40 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5

Tavos has the best taco salad I have ever had! The birria tacos are very rich and flavorful as well. They have so many custom options. I can’t wait to try more things on their menu. Like me, you will be very pleased if you like Mexican food. This place is the real deal! I door dash Tavos Tacos pretty frequently and this is unfortunately probably the 3rd time I’ve received my order and it has tiny black hairs all throughout the food. I only got a photo of this one but there’s more. I’ve even tried to call the restaurant to let Lupe know but with the language barrier I never get him on the phone. The food is still good, but I don’t want to pick around my whole bowl for hairs. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
