There's a lot of bad Mexican food in the world but not at Tecalitlan. The best Carne Asada tacos since I left Mexico. The salsa was real. Those of you that have tasted true salsa will know what I mean. Freshly prepared guacamole and a free appetizer of 4 mini tacos. A cold Mexican coke to wash it down. A little moment of culinary heaven. Will I return. Yes. It was genuinely excellent. I cannot believe it was just sitting there to be discovered in New Rochelle of all places. Best tacos in New Rochelle, hands down. Wanted to change it up so the waitress gave me a recommendation. The Tacos Dorados were outstanding, and the service was just as good. Friendly staff, authentic Mexican food, and consistently great quality. You can tell the woman running this place care about what they do. A local gem that's absolutely worth a visit.
