Teddy's is pretty near Congregation Beth Israel. Being at this bar, eat nicely cooked crabs, salmon appetizers and fillet steaks. Come here for tasty banana split if you are hungry. Delicious martinis are served at Teddy's. Juice lovers will find it great.

I really, really want this place to be great! It checks so many boxes. The first time we went, it was really good. It had a cozy, vibey, neighborhood bistro feel. Food was good! Good enough to go back. Last night was a colossal fail. My steak was -- for lack of a more fitting term- gross! I ordered it medium. It was served so rare it was nearly blue. My husband orders his medium-rare and he wouldn't touch it. I politely sent it back, then it came back basically gray. Not a "well-done" gray, just a wet, rubbery gray. They had cut it in the kitchen but improperly. When I tried to cut a bite, it was stubborn, messy and drowning in chimichurri (sp) sauce. Also, no steak knife! It was 7p on a Saturday night and it was empty. The lighting was bright but in an otherwise dark, cozy room. It was like a bar after last call with they turn on the lights to get everyone out. One of the servers was coughing/ hacking so much that all four of us cringed. They comped my steak, which I appreciated. But it will be hard to get me back there. Really bummed! The people leaving sub par reviews are not at the right place. Teddy's is not for you. You clearly don't understand the vibe- and anyone who chooses not to give another place a try after only one attendance can live on the bottom of my shoe, that's drastically small minded of you. And dude, "outdated" WHO ARE YOU? Go away. This place is a gem, their cocktails are bomb, atmosphere fire, the golden retriever behind the bar (Teddy?) is why I'll keep coming back OVER AND OVER AND OVER. Thanks Teddy's. Happy hour appetizers and cocktails galore (very tasty on all counts). So appreciate the excellent playlist and that it is NOT LOUD - high marks on that criterion. Staff was attentive. The only thing is that there is a bit of a weird smell in the place, a bit sour. Not sure what that is but it was noticeable. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
