We recently visited Tee Jaye’s in Clintonville with our family and sat outside. The food was good and the service was good, but unfortunately, something happened during our visit that completely overshadowed the experience. A couple brought their pet bird to breakfast, and I was absolutely disgusted to watch the bird walking directly across the wooden picnic table where people were eating. This was not a service animal performing a task, it was a personal pet being allowed to walk all over a dining table. What was even more disturbing was that the servers and hostess seemed to think it was cute and never addressed it. They all came out to pet the bird and talk with the owners. There was also a dog at the table behind us that was climbing all over the seating and sniffing around the table. I understand that people love their pets, but animals do not belong on restaurant dining tables. Period. A table where food is being eaten should not also be a place for someone's pet to walk around. I found it incredibly unsanitary and honestly very difficult to watch while trying to enjoy my breakfast. What made it even more concerning was seeing the busser later clear the table where the dog had been without wiping down the wooden tabletop afterward. The food and service were good, but allowing animals to be on dining tables was so unpleasant and unsanitary that it significantly changed my impression of the restaurant. I really hope management takes this seriously and reviews its policy regarding pets in the outdoor dining area. Meal type: Breakfast Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1

Howdy! Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the food and received good service, but we’re sorry that your experience on the patio was overshadowed by your concerns about pets. We welcome guests and their pets in our designated outdoor dining areas, but we understand your concern about animals being on dining surfaces where food is served. We take cleanliness and proper table-cleaning procedures seriously, and we will be addressing your concerns with our team and reinforcing our expectations for our patio area. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Feedback like yours gives us an opportunity to review our practices and make sure every guest feels comfortable while dining with us.

I came in on a Sunday afternoon/evening and it was pretty slow, yet it took almost 30 minutes for biscuits gravy and a sandwich and my biscuits were cold. When I complained about my biscuits she offered to throw them in the microwave.. I don’t see myself coming back. However Tiffany was nice! (Not my server, another server) Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Howdy Derek! Thank you so much for spending your mornings with us! We love hearing that the Hen House Special is your go-to — that’s a classic for a reason! And it truly means the world to know our service stands out even more than the food. That’s exactly the experience we aim to deliver every time you walk through the doors at Tee Jaye's Country Place. We can’t wait to welcome you back for your next Hen House breakfast!
