More than the best meal we’ve had in Colorado, the omakase here was a wonderful shared experience between diners and chef. What you get for what you pay is probably the best deal in Boulder; we felt so lucky to have happened upon it this evening. Get in while you can, I can’t imagine this place will be easy to get into for long. Thanks for a delicious and memorable evening!! We were excited to learn that @chefduypham has opened up his own spot @temakijoint in Boulder. We rushed to make reservations and of course ended up having one of the best omakase experiences ever. His creativity, passion, and dedication to his craft shines through every delicious bite! My fav was the geoduck clam and the “everything expensive” nigiri’s. You know, just a bit of caviar, uni, and black truffle Where was I? lol Trust us, book your experience and thank us later! Not pictured are his homemade ice creams and the three of us taking shots. Mot, hai, ba.do!!!! Thanks for always walking us through your creative thought process, your hospitality, and your A game @chefduypham Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I've been familiar with Chef Duy Pham's cuisine for a long time now, so I am not surprised when he gives us Temaki Joint. I was a big fan of his omakase at Hana Matsuri Glendale and Foraged. I was never concerned with the omakase fee, but I felt I could never get through 24 bites. Now you can have a smaller more customized omakase. I also like that you can mix sashimi, nigiri and handrolls into your experience. The restaurant is still very small, especially since they haven't remodeled the interior yet. Small is actually what makes it cozy and intimate. You will get to talk to the chef and ask him questions if you please. Pick his brain on his food pairing concept, or why he selects the fish that he does. Alcohol is very affordable because they don't serve cocktails... you can have a variety of sake, wine, whiskey or tequila. If you absolutely want access to a full bar... you can go downstairs to Pho Kitchen's bar for beer and cocktails. Trust me, me an alcoholic and the options here are plenty. So must try items on the menu: unagi/foie gras, smoked shima aji, king salmon, black snapper sashimi, fresh blue crab (NOT IMITATION) handroll, hokkaido scallop. If they have uni - ask to upgrade your order... WORTH IT. You're welcome.
