This place looks great. Didn't go in. We were hopping around various monuments and places of interest on the hook peninsula not to mention an angry farmer who accused us of trespassing on his land. Slade and the walk to the hook head is a must, stunning coastline scenery. A bit disconcerting is a sign "beware of the bull" Does this mean they want walkers or not ,when a previous sign shows the route around the headland. Anyway forget the bull.... and so the walk you won't be disappointed. Templars is in a stunning location. Wish we had time to stop in. Templetown always mesmerises me because of the film ivanhoe. They were noble Knights of the crusade bequeathed obscene amounts of land and riches and used their power and status to the point that they were considered dangerous to society and subsequently ostracised. The church at templars is so beautiful and in such a state of non disrepair after centuries, possibly 800 years, that I still love it so much, even after numerous bypasses being brought to Hook as a child. Still haven't stopped in Templars but judging by the amount of cars, the food is great. Can't wait to eventually stop there and see for myself....don't think I'll be disappointed.

We stood in an almost empty pub waiting for a table for a while. Order was taken patiently and it took a really long time for the food to arrive and ironically it went to the table next to us by mistake. In order to make it up, was served a large portion. They could really use a manager and some expert chefs too which would add impact to their business. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €20–30 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
