I visited Tendon Fuji, a tendon restaurant near Ikebukuro Station, for lunch on a holiday. I arrived just as it opened, so I was the first one there. There are 6 kinds of dishes on the menu, but since I was hungry, I ordered the jumbo tempura rice bowl, which seemed to be very filling. 1,000 yen including tax. The tempura bowl was served in about 5 minutes. The tempura is crispy fried with 2 shrimp, 2 kisses, squid, garland chrysanthemum, seaweed, and shishito peppers. It was delicious and served hot. I think the price of 1,000 yen, which comes with miso soup, is quite good value considering the location.
