How can this be a five-star hotel? The whole experience was pretty disappointing. The staff weren't particularly friendly. We paid quite a lot for a room with a view, but all the windows had huge streaks on them, which really spoiled the view. The breakfast wasn't good either. Honestly, I think only someone who has never stayed at a really good hotel would praise it. There wasn't much choice. One morning there weren't even any pancakes ready, so we had to wait, even though they should have been prepared in advance. There were no cold cuts for sandwiches, and while there were strawberries and bananas one day, the next morning there were no strawberries left and only one banana, even though we came quite early for breakfast, not at the end. The coffee was just regular black coffee with milk. For a hotel that claims to be luxurious, I'd expect proper coffee machines with different coffee options. The "spa" was also very underwhelming. There was only one pool and not even a sauna, which would have made the experience much better. Another thing that felt strange was the housekeeping staff. They were constantly looking at us and gossiping among themselves, which came across as quite unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable. Also, for the first time ever, when we were checking out, we were asked to wait while someone inspected our room before we were allowed to leave. We travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels, but we've never experienced anything like that before. Overall, the hotel tries to feel luxurious, but it's nowhere near that level. It's definitely not worth the price. Service: 1

We were staying for few days in this hotel. The rooms are dirty, windows were not clean, stuff was not welcoming at all. The building made always weird sounds, it felt not safe to sleep there. The worst experience I ever had with a hotel. Service: 1

We stayed at JRW Welmond Hotel and had a very disappointing experience. The room we were given was old, worn out, and completely different from the photos. They even called a standard room a “junior suite.” When we raised our concern, the staff member who brought our bags literally sat on the bed while calling reception, showing zero respect for guests. We had to pay extra to upgrade the room, which is unacceptable for a supposed 5-star hotel. At breakfast, there were no labels on the food, leaving guests guessing what they were eating. Overall, this was extremely unprofessional and far from a 5-star standard. Definitely not worth the price.
