I’m very disappointed with my experience at Tesco Extra in Middlesbrough. The attitude and behaviour of one staff member towards me were extremely inappropriate and made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I felt that the staff member displayed a prejudiced and discriminatory attitude, and the way I was treated gave me the impression that I was being judged differently because of my background. This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable in a customer-facing role and should not be tolerated. Staff members should treat every customer with the same level of respect, courtesy and professionalism, regardless of their race, ethnicity or background. I hope Tesco takes this concern seriously, investigates what happened, and provides appropriate training to ensure that all customers are treated fairly and respectfully. Very disappointing experience, and certainly not the standard of customer service I would expect from Tesco.

A massive thank you to tesco extra for jump starting my car when I broke down during a community care shift. I walked in a little stressed with an hour until my next elderly client. The lovely lady behind the desk spent ages finding someone with a jump start kit and they came out and got my car back up and running. I can't thank them enough! Thank you for your care and effort.

I usually wouldn’t do this but this really bothered me today because this was just straight up not necessary what so ever but I usually have a great customer service experience in this store but today I went in around 20 to 7ish and I was shopping in the clothing section for my baby and was on the look out for a 0.5 or 0.1 tog and couldn’t find any less than 1.5 so I thought I’d find someone to ask and this young lad working on the sales section I went over and asked “do use happen to sell any 0.5 or 0.1 togs”and without even a second of me finishing my sentence I get a straight up very blunt no repeatedly just kept getting a no even when I stopped asking he carried on saying no over and over very bluntly until I said okay er thanks and then he carried on doing what he was doing the no isn’t the issue if he had said no I would have responded with okay no worries thank you but it was the way he was saying it to me repeatedly just very unnecessary and left me feeling uncomfortable and I struggle with anxiety so asking in general was difficult for me but for a EMPLOYEE to treat me like that was just not right at all definitely has sort of put me off wanting to shop there
