Visited the Exeter services on way to Cornwall for breakfast. Waited 20 minutes for our coffee and breakfast followed ten minutes later. Manager needs to use more staff in cafeteria. The two that manned the cafe were rushed off their feet poor souls and did their best. Suggest manager wakes up and smells the coffee. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: £10–20

The staff are always so kind and helpful, the atmosphere is calm and well-kept, the food is always lovely in my experience (I’ve tried lots of their menu options) and I love the recent makeover and how easy it is to order at the self service machines. Coffee is great and they do not charge extra for substituting oat milk which I appreciate! My favourite place to come for breakfast when I need to do the weekly grocery shopping. I was informed by a staff member Brittany at Tesco Cafe that, because of my egg allergy, they would remove the egg component of my meal, but currently, no substitutions of equivalent value could be made. This policy was also in effect during my previous visit following the refit, which I did not query at the time as is all self-service systems. I appreciate that during this visit, I was able to speak to a staff member while I ordered which is a pleasant change. Upon raising the issue on this occasion, I was surprised to learn that the establishment prices a meal consisting of a slice of bread, two sausages, two rashers of bacon, and two hash browns at less than an hour's wage. The affordable price of £9.50 means that I can enjoy someone else's cooking, served to me while I dine in a pleasant area without much damage to my wallet or myself as they took my egg allergy into consideration. We will definitely be returning to this establishment. I would also like to thank Brittany specifically as I feel it's nice to show appreciation for individuals on Google maps where everyone can see what a great, yet demanding job they do on the first page of Google. I definitely would not name and shame an individual on the internet for doing their job, as that is pathetic. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Price per person: £20–30
