Tex Mex Café brings a taste of Tex-Mex cuisine to the city of Cuenca. Nestled on Luis Moreno Mora, this restaurant offers visitors an opportunity to indulge in dishes that evoke the flavors found further north. Although its presence on popular restaurant directories is minimal, you can find a basic profiling on Facebook. Unfortunately, more detailed and recent operation hours or menu specifics aren't readily available.
Visitors in the past have appreciated their cheese enchiladas, highlighting the quality of cheese and a willingness of the staff to accommodate requests like additional toppings. The chips and salsa also appear to be a favorite, noted for their appealing, spicy kick. However, it's worth mentioning that the latest available customer feedback is already several years old, so current offerings might differ. For those looking for a wallet-friendly outing, Tex Mex Café seems to offer a medium price range, though exact figures are scarce. Information from the establishment directly remains elusive, so diners might do well to call ahead for the latest updates.

We had lunch here today and will definitely be back when our next craving for Tex-Mex occurs. This is closest to the real thing we have found in Cuenca. The cheese enchiladas were terrific and be sure to try the chips and salsa. Be aware that the salsa has a pretty good kick to it (just the way I like it). I can highly recommend this restaurant.

The cheese enchiladas are great. Real cheddar cheese. I ask for chopped onions on top. The owners are very personable and willing to do anything you ask. They were trained by El Fenix in Dallas.
