My grandmother went for her 35th anniversary. She had an awful time. We are calling corporate. No, there's nothing this manager can do. Such awful staff and manager. My poor grandmother Just an FYI.... Today is our 35 anniversary. I made sure that doug had a wonderful afternoon and we used to go to Texas Roadhouse in Springfield.From time to time , so I thought I would treat myself to a steak dinner. It was kind of difficult going in by myself to begin with , because we have been there together many times but going by myself was kind of heartening. Got seated and chatted with my waitress and told her about our anniversary , etc and thought , okay , this is going to be exactly what I need. THEN before my food came , I decided I should probably make a bathroom run , and they have a very small bathroom with a long waiting line.And when I got back to my table IT HAD BEEN CLEARED. EVEN THOUGH MY KEYS WERE THERE.... MY HALF OF BEER WAS THERE... MY JACKET THAT I BROUGHT WAS THERE.,SOME IDIOT ASSUMED THAT I HAD LEFT... SOMEONE PICKED UP MY ITEMS AND TOOK THEM TO THE FRONT. SO I'M SITTING THERE NO SILVERWARE, MY JACKET IS GONE.MY KEYS ARE ON THE TABLE , AND MY ROLLS ARE GONE. MY WAITRESS SAID SHE WOULD CHECK INTO IT AND ABOUT 10 MINUTES LATER CAME BACK WITH MY JACKET AND THAT WAS IT. THEN MY FOOD APPEARS, AND MY HOPEFULLY PERFECTLY COOKED STEAK IS THERE AND I HAVE NO SILVERWARE ...NO KNIFE TO EAT WITH. AGAIN I GOT A HOLD OF MY WAITRESS AND SHE SAID SHE WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. 10 MINUTES LATER , AFTER MY STEAK HAS BEEN SITTING THERE GETTING COLD... SHE APPEARS..SHE SAID SHE GOT DISTRACTED WITH A KNIFE SO THEN I CAN EAT. -AT THIS POINT , I'M READY TO GET UP AND LEAVE , BUT I TOLD THEM I WANTED TO TALK TO THE MANAGER. SHE APOLOGIZED PROFUSELY AND TOLD ME SHE WOULD GIVE ME TWENTY FIVE PERCENT OFF ON MY BILL. NEEDLESS TO SAY , MY ANNIVERSARY DINNER , WHICH WAS DIFFICULT TO DO BY MYSELF TO BEGIN WITH , WAS A MAJOR DISASTER. I WISH I COULD POST THIS ON TEXAS ROADHOUSE FACEBOOK BUT I DON'T SEE WHERE I CAN DO THAT IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEA , I WOULD APPRECIATE THE HELP.
