I have struggled whether this is a 1* or 2* and given it the benefit of the doubt. It is in a fantastic location looking out onto the beach and sea, the glass front to the balcony meaning you can see out from bed, which is a nice touch. The rooms are a decent size and the furnishing is okay but could do with an upgrade. The bathroom was very small and the towel rail was a screw sticking out of the wall at head height. There are good toiletries provided (toothpaste, toothbrush, razor set, soap, cuetips, etc) but these were not replaced each day. We also had to buy our own toilet paper as their's fell apart and was useless.Breakfast was ok but all show and no substance. Each came on a little tray with a cute bottle of orange juice and a little toast basket. The reality was that the toast was never warm, the plates although big, contained a lot of things I didn't actually want and they charged us for water to accompany it. They also got my order wrong 2 days out of 3,bringing coffee rather than tea and then scrabled eggs instead of an omelette. You can get better for cheaper. All of these were minor issues, my main sticking point is that they were renovating the outside bar, building a lovely looking deck. This is all well and good, but they should have told us before booking so as to give us the option. It was loud and smelly for the whole of our 3 days as the cut metal beams, banged in nails, welded joints. This was outside our room meaning we could not use the picture perfect balcony. Also breakfast was served in the same bar as all the welding and cutting. I tried to speak to the receptionist to advise they did not work until after 10am to allow guests to sleep and have breakfast in peace. This was not heeded and the next day was the same.I know it is quiet season and work needs to be done, but either close or tell your paying guests. It is not cheap at 2000 THB a night.Overall (without the renovation) 3/5 but the noisy work put a dampener on the experience so would give my experience a 1/5. Have used the average to give it a 2/5
