We visited Thames Kitchen in Nottingham for the first time and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. While eating my dosa, I discovered a hair underneath it after I had already eaten half. I politely informed the staff, but the lady just said “sorry” and offered nothing — no replacement, no refund, or any gesture to make it right. We also ordered a kids’ dosa, which was extremely crispy and hard, completely unsuitable for a child. On top of that, the toilet was unhygienic — there was no hand soap or tissues available. For our first visit, this was a very poor experience. The lack of hygiene, poor food quality for children, and indifferent service left us very unhappy. I would not recommend this place. I recently visited Thambi's Kitchen and was thoroughly impressed with the authentic South Indian cuisine they offer. Every dish was delicious, but the standout was definitely the kothu parota. It had an outstanding taste, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine South Indian flavors!
