As a person that travels a lot. I find myself in some interesting locales and The 1886 caught my Culinary interest. A gal friend and I popped in for dinner and a drink. The 1886 has some cool vibes..much like a speak easy. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive .she not only waited and bussed tables; she also was the bar keep...daunting....kudos darling. The food...... The food.....was horrible. I ordered the Chicken Parm and my friend the Ribeye. My dish came out in a bowl...Chicken Parm should never be served this way..it should be PLATED. The pasta was overcooked and possibly reheated. The chicken was fried in old grease as it had an off taste. The sauce was water. I returned it post haste and asked for a cheese burger. Whilst waiting on my burger, my friends steak hadn't any flavor nor did it have the honey butter pad atop said steak. When I got my burger,..I cut it in half and it was bloody. This place has a very apparent identity crisis. It purports to be a classy spot for mixed drinks and good cuisine at the same time having teles with sports games on. The staff should also wear correct attire that supports the sort of place they want customers to think it is....OR...just throw it all to the wind and be yet one more boring sports bar serving sub par food. They also need a chef and not a lazy non skilled line cook. Cheers. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
