We booked a table at The Angel Inn with a group of work colleagues on a Saturday night. The place was very busy as there was a football final on the screens. Generally the atmosphere was good, although a little ruckus did break out at one point and things got a little bit rowdy. This was soon settled and we got to ordering food. Ordering is done at a hatch and it's every man for themselves, which is great to avoid awkward bill splitting at the end of the night. They have a good menu with plenty of choice, with both veggie and meat options. I have to say the food was top notch, I had the vegetarian sizzler(see photo) and it was really good, definitely a choice for those with a hearty appetite, or maybe it's a good sharer dish for normal eaters! All the food arrived promptly, the group reported the food to be great and there were no complaints. Would definitely come back again, maybe not on a football finals night, but would highly recommend to others to give it a try.
