Besides Chapel of our Lady on the Bridge, visit The Angel in the vicinity. Delicious beer is waiting for you at this bar. It's easy to find The Angel due to its great location. The well-trained staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Nice service is something that visitors highlight in their comments. Pay affordable prices for eating at this place. Once upon a time a favourite of mine, now a very infrequent customer, instead i go next door to The County. Upon entering the Angel you've a good chance of being greeted by the foul smelling drains, the bar prices are now extortionate, it's pretty dead even Friday/Saturday night but can be busy.. ish afternoons with sport on the TVs especially racing. It's basically gone down, down, downhill year on year for the last half a dozen years and has lost favour with a lot of it's regulars. I still call in for the occasional drink but it's definitely lost it's mojo along with the option of "buy two, get one free" When going to all the other pubs which are ALL significantly cheaper and tbh have a lot more to offer their customers.
