You can go to this bar if you happen to be near Coleford Great Western Railway Museum. All the guests like great British cuisine at The Angel Hotel. Invite your family with you to have good fish, fish & chips and sandwiches. It's a must while visiting this place to taste delicious beer. This place is known for great coffee.
This spot is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. From the guests' point of view, prices are affordable. The cozy atmosphere meets you at this bar. But The Angel Hotel has been rated below average by Google.

This should have been a 5 Star Review, but on our last night the hotel had an Open Mic Jazz Night which was pretty loud. That might have reduced it to 4 Stars overall. However I went downstairs to close the through-door from the stairwell/Reception area to the kitchen which was funneling the noise up to the rooms. Unfortunately the door was jammed OPEN and I couldn't move it - and it had a plate on it saying Fire Door Keep Shut. I can't give zero Stars so I'm afraid it gets a no-brainer 1 Star. Service: 5

Popped in for a drink whilst visiting the area. Lovely friendly people. Pub area can get very busy. Food served upto 1.45pm and the restaurant opened again at 6pm. The restaurant area is away from the drinking area. Food was Brilliant! It was our favourite place we eat at. The waitress, (she had butterflies tattoo) was very polite, helpful and friendly not just with us, but with all the customers she served. When we return to Coleford, we will definitely have another meal at this place. Update 2024: returned to the angel hotel for drinks/meals. Once again fantastic, friendly service from the butterflies tattoo lady (she even remembered us visiting in 2023 and where we sat)! The food...well, we'll be returning ! What does that tell you?
