I had the crab cake appetizer during happy hour so it was half price and very delicious. I also had one glass of beer which was served promptly and very fresh and cold. I then had the vegetable lentil soup which was pretty good and a little spicy for my taste. For dessert I had the warm cookie sundae and it too was very good. Overall the service was excellent and as the restaurant got busier service was a little bit slower but my waiter was quite attentive as much as he was able. The only caveat I would suggest is not to pay in cash; the bill was $52.43 and I guess they rounded it up to $53 because I got $17 change exactly and it took a while to get the change. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food was excellent, but their customer service leaves some to be desired. My husband and I came in for dinner, and the hostess wanted to seat us in the same booth area as another couple. I don’t personally like being crowded like that and my husband is very tall, so I politely asked if we could sit at one of the open tables. The hostess said quickly and without offering a solution, “we save those for larger parties”. Mind you, multiple 4 tops were open and the restaurant was not busy. This would have been very easy to accommodate. We ended up sitting at the bar instead because we did not want to share a booth with the other couple and no one did anything to help us. Other than that, the food was great. We both ordered burgers and they were delicious. Bar service and drinks were great. But if you’re only two people, expect to be shoved into a small space and uncomfortable.

We went to The Attic for dinner and had a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the food was delicious and we really enjoyed the warm, cozy atmosphere—it’s a great spot in terms of ambiance. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. Our server made several mistakes throughout the evening and had an unexpectedly aggressive attitude. He forgot my sister’s wine twice, brought out an incorrect order, and mishandled my mom’s dessert request. There was also confusion around the dessert order. My mom wanted one scoop of gelato and asked about the available flavors. The server was very unclear, using “sorbet” and “gelato” interchangeably throughout the conversation. In the end, she ordered one scoop of “lemon gelato,” as he described it, which should have been $3. So we were surprised when the bill came and showed a $14 charge for lemon sorbet—which wasn’t even listed on the menu. When we pointed this out, the server responded in a pretty surly manner, though the charge was eventually corrected. After we paid, he brought over a scoop of vanilla gelato and said it was “on him,” but the delivery felt sarcastic and he placed it on the table quite aggressively. By that point, we were already full and honestly just ready to leave. Overall, the food and atmosphere were great, but the poor service really put a damper on the evening and left us ending the night on a negative note. Since we were a party of six, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill, which was unfortunate given the level of service we received. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
