booked a table here when arrived was told the chef wasnt in and was told I could go to the takeaway across the road and bring it in if I want so only photo I have is some fries be carful people they dont tell you when food not available

Excellent meal and service. Wasn't difficult to find but paerking is a little bit restricted. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: £10–20 Recommendation for vegetarians: Somewhat recommend Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Free of charge street parking

I’d never be the person to post something like this but I’ve just been to The Barr in Bacup and I’m so surprised by how good the food was. I’d seen a lot of mixed reviews before we came, but I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed it. The reason I’m posting is because the time I was sat here, there were only regulars having drinks at the bar. Considering how good the food is, I was surprised we were the only people eating. All of our food was delivered to our table fresh as it was made. We ordered A LOT, but we had a good mix of a dish each being brought out at one time with a little break inbetween - considering we also ordered 12 dishes between 4 people (minus poppadoms/dips). * side note, my dad also mentioned the Guiness being on point. Bacup definitely deserves a chance and I hope more people can try The Barr Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes
