One of my favourite places for food. Jake is outstanding as front of house, granted he's my son but dine there and see for yourself. Price per person: £100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Lamb Roast, Afogato

A true English tavern complete with Fish and Chips. My eating companion had a burger (he finished the whole thing) and my other table mate had the vegetarian pasta dish. Everything was fine. Not spectacular, but good and a pleasant atmosphere conducive to catching up and enjoying each other's company.

Always exemplary service at The Black Horse. Only eaten here once in the summer for a bowl of soup which was served with lovely fresh bread. The soup was really good too. Popped in a few times for a coffee or a swift pint and have been accommodated faultlessly. I'm hoping to visit again one evening soon and try out their main menu. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
