It's time to relax and order good fillet steaks, rolls and prawns. Delicious whiskey, draft beer or wine are among the most often ordered drinks at this bar. Invite your friends to The Blacksmith with a wonderful atmosphere. The gracious hostess works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. The cool service is a big plus of this place. You will pay democratic prices for your meal. As many guests affirm, the decor at this spot is beautiful. This bar scored 4.4 in the Google rating system.

We took mom here for an early mother's day dinner and the food was not very good...especially for the price. The crab cakes tasted fishy as did the crab stuffed prawns. I ordered the steak nachos and the steak tasted like it was right about to turn bad. It's a cute little place so I really wish the food would have been better. :(

Before I continue with my review, I must mention that I love supporting local, small businesses. My intention on leaving a less than four star review (I would have left 2.5 stars, but rounded up) is never to jeopardize the reputation of the restaurant. However, as a consumer that appreciates honest reviews, I must leave truthful feedback.My experience is a reflection of a carry out order from last week. Here were a few concerns that I had.1. You may want to call before you go to The Blacksmith. According to their Google Hours they are open until 9:30pm, and I called between 7-7:30pm to place an order for carry out. I was respectfully informed that my order needs to be placed by 8pm because they were slow, and would be closing early. I was surprised to hear this as they open at 4pm. Unreliable hours are something that as a customer I can get frustrated with (especially if it's not noted on their Google Business Profile). On another occasion, my husband and I wanted to go there for a date night at around the same time in the evening, and were turned away (this was a couple of months ago).2. Their menu may not be a reliable source of information.As part of my order, I got a side salad.What I was expecting as detailed exactly by their menu: "SIDE SALAD Greens, tomato, cucumbers, red onions, eggs, cheese blend and croutons."What I received: Greens with a couple of chunks of cucumbers.I was also surprised that the side salad was $5. Very sub par quality for what the price is. I would pay $5 for a great side salad, but I wouldn't have even expected to pay $1.50 for what I received.3. I also tried the Ribeye Steak Sandwich. I was looking forward to a larger, tender piece of meat on a fresh hoagie, but was disappointed when I received small, not-so-tender pieces of meat on a dry hoagie bun.4. Their French Onion Soup was a plus for me! It was not too salty, and had a hint of sweetness to it. And I believe it would have been even better if I had eaten it in the restaurant!I am hoping that my experience isn't an accurate representation of The Blacksmith as I had high hopes for a well marketed, nice restaurant.
