Italian dishes are to be tasted here. Ordering perfectly cooked tuna, filet américain and spinach ravioli is a nice experience here. Many visitors come to try good apple strudels, ice cream and chocolate mousse. A number of people mention that you can drink delicious wine at this restaurant. Tasting the great latte is a decent choice.

Me and my fiancé had an appointment to meet the owners to discuss our wedding reception. We showed up at the time we scheduled and the door was locked, after knocking for awhile they opened the door but they had no idea who we were. After we explained who we were, they made us feel like we were a bother to them. When I asked what kind of food that they were going to cook for our reception she simply said, fish or beef and WOULD NOT elaborate. When I asked her to be more specific, she made me feel like I was dumb for asking that question. She said just read the reviews!! This is why I decided to write one for myself. I told her I’ve ate there before and she’s answered be by telling me NO YOU HAVEN, which I have. The food is OK but not as good as they think it is. Every question I asked she responded in a way that was so disrespectful and rude.

The blue Door kitchen & Inn may be a bit of a drive but it’s well worth it. The atmosphere is warm & inviting- not pretentious or overdone. The service is wonderful , with lots of attention. And the food is absolutely wonderful. Chef Andrea creates amazing dishes, with wonderful tastes of the season and local fare. Beautifully presented& full of flavor. The wine selection is excellent & reasonably priced. They have a lovely bar for before or after dinner cocktails. Blue Door I truly worth frequent visits! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 4

Last week, my husband and I were so delighted with our two-night, enchanted stay at Blue Door Kitchen and Inn. We had with us our son and grandson from Phoenix, and each one of us raved about the stay throughout the trip back to Silver Spring, Maryland. Reem was so professional and incredibly helpful from beginning to end with answering my myriad questions. We had dined last June on the lovely patio for our 55th anniversary, and we promised to return--but this time for an overnight stay. Everyone at the Blue Door Kitchen and Inn treated us like royalty. The food was delicious and varied. We were offered a choice of eight starters, eight entrees, and three of the most delicious desserts we've ever had. There were eight well-fortified cocktails on offer and a well-selected wine menu. The rooms are large, very comfortable, and equipped nicely, including with a handy coffee maker. What a wonderful way to get off the Beltway and dive instantly into a quiet getaway with only the birds to break the silence. Thank you, everyone. Mimi
