The Brewery Tap and King’s Kitchen @ Chester, UK The Brewery Tap and King’s Kitchen resides in an old Jacobean hall. It was said to have been visited by King Charles I. It was recommended to me by a local Chesterian English Heritage who was providing tour guide over at nearby Agricola Castle. English Heritage is a charity that cares for over 400 historic buildings, monuments and sites in Great Britain. Atmosphere: Casual, relaxed neighborhood pub and kitchen that can be found in an old Jacobean hall. Very popular with locals with take out and dine ins. Service: Order over the counter. Food and drink will be served to you. Staff is friendly, courteous and can provide good recommendations. Food: Ordered their wickedly good Sunday Beef Roast paired with their smashing Lost in Time Hazy ne Pale beer. The Sunday Roast’s beer were tender and juicy, roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, carrots and Swede mash was soft, velvety and sweet, cheesy leeks had a nice smokiness to it, Yorkshire pudding was soft and savory. It all goes well with a side of greens and horseradish. Lost in Time Hazy ne Pale beer paired really well with the Sunday beef roast . It was refreshing, fruit forward, citrus and with the right amount of bitterness from the hops. A perfect summer beer. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
