The 2 rooms were air conditioned ice cold in the hot August heat. The piano player, Max, in the reception hall/bar area was amazing nightly perk!! 2 great italian restaurants nearby: REbasilco pizza and Mia Restaurante pasta. Hotel was a short 9 euro taxi ride from lots of tourist attractions and tour guide meeting points. The hallway carpet was disgusting and needed replaced. The pool was cool and refreshing. The staff offered breakfast to go boxes for our really early flight back to USA. Here's a pic of our private balcony.

We honestly had such a lovely time staying here. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. Everyone was incredibly sweet, friendly and personable, and the reception staff went above and beyond to help us on a few occasions—they really couldn't have been more helpful. The food was absolutely delicious, and I have to mention that my son said it was the best food he has ever eaten, which is a pretty big compliment coming from him! Our beds were so comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean, and we made full use of the swimming area every single day. The outdoor area of the hotel is absolutely stunning and such a lovely place to relax. The location was perfect for us too, making it easy to enjoy Rome and then come back to such a comfortable and welcoming hotel at the end of the day. We genuinely had a wonderful stay and would happily come back again. Thank you to all the lovely staff for helping make our trip so special!

We recently stayed for two nights at The Building Hotel. The hotel is in a convenient location, fairly close to the train station, which made arrival and departure easy. Our room was clean, well-presented, and a good size, with a small fridge and minibar. However, the beds were incredibly hard, which made the first night quite uncomfortable. To their credit, after we raised this with reception, staff provided a mattress topper for the second night, which did help improve the situation. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because it advertised having a gym and spa. It gave the impression that these facilities were included in the stay. However, upon arrival we were informed that while the gym was included, use of the jacuzzi and sauna cost an additional €25 per person for two hours. This was very disappointing, as clearer information beforehand would likely have influenced our decision — we may have chosen a different hotel closer to the main attractions instead. Breakfast was included and served buffet-style. There was a good selection, and we found it very enjoyable. However, we would not recommend staying for dinner. The evening meal was quite poor in quality, and the service was disappointing. Our waiter was unfriendly, which detracted from the overall dining experience. Overall, while the hotel has some positives, we feel there are better-value options available closer to the main sights of Rome. Service: 2
