Nestled in a charming, historic building, this spot is a treasure trove for food enthusiasts. During our visit, we were enchanted by the variety and quality of their offerings. We couldn’t resist picking up their Strawberry Vanilla Jam, which turned out to be amazing with some fresh bread. The flavors were perfectly balanced, making it a standout among the many jams we've tried. The shop also boasts some of the most unique charcuterie boards I've ever seen. Each board is a work of art, designed to elevate your charcuterie experience. The selection of cheeses and chocolates is equally impressive, providing everything you need to create a gourmet spread at home. The ambiance of The Californian Commissary is warm and inviting, making it a perfect stop whether you're stocking up for a picnic, planning a party, or just indulging in some tasty treats. Brian was so extremely helpful. Delicious cold meat & cheese samples. Well stocked store for all things charcuterie including boards!! Dog friendly too.

This place is a gem! They have so many options and the owner was a great host. I fell in love with the picnic baskets. If you are looking for an incredible selection of cheese and meat for charcuterie, this is THE place. They also offer "to go" charcuterie boxes for anyone who is looking for a quick option and doesn't want to build their own board. If you are looking for boards and knives, they have everything you need.
