Steak night every week. They always lose one of our orders. Always. Our table never eats together, sometimes waiting up to 40 mins after the others at the table have been served. The only thing that brings us back is the steak. It's great. But the service is appalling. The servers don't even know where the stationary table numbers are, and you can see them wandering lost while holding plates of steak that are getting cold. They need to lift their game. Service: 1

Just spent another week at the CAV, and once again it did not disappoint. From greetings to farewell from Joy Joy, Claire & Lance, it’s like coming back to family. This time we took our immediate family which consisted of 16 of us. They went out of their way with blowing up inflatables for the pool so the kids could enjoy, to welcome home after a long day with icy poles & also lollipops on another occasion. Always asking if we had enough towels etc. Then on to food & entertainment. You really can’t go elsewhere. It’s spot on. To Sunday night roast to Steak night Thursdays. Yum! We have been going to Darwin for a number of years & would not stay anywhere else. This is Not a 5 star hotel, but it offers everything in one place. Thank you to the team at the Cavenagh hotel for another wonderful stay. Service: 5

Beef Wellington is not on the menu at the Cavanagh ? I’m not sure how it got reviews. I’ve seen it on the menu once in 12 years - it was sensational though I do wish it was regularly on the menu!
