The Chapel Bar and Bookshop in Broadstairs is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is truly unique, with the walls lined with shelves full of old books - many of which are for sale - and the smell of beer and cider permeating the air. The selection of drinks is remarkable, with craft beers, ciders, ales and more available to choose from. The bar staff are friendly and knowledgeable and will help you find the perfect drink. On top of that, the bar hosts live music events and there's even an upstairs mezzanine level where you can read or relax. If you're in Broadstairs, The Chapel Bar and Bookshop is an absolute must-visit!

Really liked it. Had a blues band playing. Beer selection good. Wine selection really good for a bar. There is also an upstairs area for relaxing. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Great beer, wine and cider options plus a few spirits that also on my favourite list. Landlord and staff are friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere, particularly during the world cup, with an extra extension to the license, beyond the late opening already allowed (a bonus on the odd night). Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £20–30
