Cheesecake Factory has unfortunately gone down hill since the last few visits we've had (few and far between, as it is). The last time we came was about 6 months ago, and even then I recall my experience being slightly more enjoyable. I know during the pandemic they cut their menu down (a good thing), but they also raised their prices (then again...hasn't everyone?), and the food has just gotten worse. Sure, it was never anything gourmet, but this round we had cold/crumbly bread, overcooked pasta, chicken that tasted like it sat underneath the heat lamp for far too long, and absolutely tasteless spinach artichoke dip. The terribly mediocre food coupled with the painful prices (almost everything is about $20, even the appetizers) is just enough to add this restaurant to my "probably would not revisit" list. It was good while it lasted, though! Service was fine, albeit the kitchen was a bit slow. Our server, Enrique, was great! Best part of our experience despite the food and everything else being pretty disappointing.

Went to the cheesecake factory had the meatloaf dinner with a side salad.  Service was great food was wonderful the portions are big so there was some to take home! The ambiance made you fell a bit like you were in a castle in a European country.  All  of us in the party agreed we will make this a frist pick for a special place to eat.

The Cheesecake Factory is controversial. I didn't want to like them ... So they had to earn their five stars the hard way. To get into the Cheesecake Factory psychologically, You have to overcome two big fat psychological obstacles. * * * One is literally the "big fat" part. The Cheesecake Factory wants to sell you drinks, and a huge entree, and  a dessert that comes in at 1700 calories all by itself. Okay, the 1700 calorie dessert is the carrot cake - their Number One Most Calorific splurge. A more typical cheesecake with chocolate and caramel and coffee meringue and whipped cream and strawberries is only about 1350 calories. See? Light eating! Dinner, drinks and dessert at the Cheesecake Factory can easily be over 3000 calories before you waddle back out to your car. You have to be comfortable with that concept. * * * The second obstacle is the cheesy "Las Vegas" style decoration. The Cheesecake Factory is decorated in an over-the-top combination of fake Egyptian and fake pre-Rafaelite that would not be out of place in an Egyptian themed room in Caesar's Palace. It is actually much tackier than what they have on the Strip at the Luxor. It approaches the overripe pseudo-European of the Venetian. This is not accidental. It is also not a decorating failure. The masterminds in the corporate offices of the Cheesecake Factory know EXACTLY what they are doing. When you go to Vegas, you are there to have an outrageous good time. You don't care how much money you spend. You don't care how many calories you eat. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Management wants you to totally unwind, and the consequences be damned. They want you drunk, fat, and happy, AND willing to sign HUGE credit card slips at the end of the meal. Their decorating accomplishes exactly that. * * * So why do I give them five stars despite all of this? a) If you watch what you are doing, you can actually eat a low calorie healthy meal here. b) The kitchen is first rate. My wife and I could not believe that we were actually enjoying every single thing that we ordered. * * * How To Stay Thin at the Cheesecake Factory a) Unlike many corporate restaurants, the Cheesecake Factory gives you calorie counts for everything they serve. You will never be tricked into eating more calories than you wanted to. b) There is plenty of low calorie stuff on the menu. They have a whole special menu called Skinny-licious where everything is under 600 calories. Generally, that means 570, 580 or 590 ... but you are still under 600. c) There are lots of lower calorie items on the regular menu. Look in the egg section, or at the side dishes or at the vegetables. d) You can always get an extravaganza and divide it into two, three or four servings. Just have one serving now. The Cheesecake Factory does lots of take-home boxes. * * * I had a filet mignon, green beans, broccoli and black beans and cheese. (Veggies were shared with the wife.) The wife had fish tacos. My meal came in at 900 calories. I had skipped a meal before coming to leave calorie room. The filet mignon was not as high and was more gristly than what you would get at a first rate steakhouse. In return, the filet was longer and wider. It tasted great, even with small amounts of gristle. I was very happy to eat it. The green beans and black beans and cheese were superior. The broccoli was harmless. My wife really liked her fish tacos. She didn't want to like them because she hates the concept of the Cheesecake Factory. But she had to admit she liked the food. * * * The only downside is service. All indications are that the Arboretum Cheesecake Factory is understaffed. It took a very long time to be seated - even with plenty of empty tables. It took a long time for our food to be served. There were five zillion people there both eating in and getting desserts to go. The staff that was there were nice, but they were working their b***s off. I am guessing that you could add 25% to both the serving staff and the kitchen staff and you would have what is regular service in other places. * * * Overall, the Cheesecake Factory is a fun place to eat with a lot of choices for really good food. Wait until my diet is over. I would love to go back for a 3800 calorie wonder!
