Such a cute place! Wonderful ethically sourced chocolates from around the world. Chocolate tasting samples available too! Definitely a must try. I think they're closing at the end of May though  so stop by soon!

"All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt." ― Charles M. Schulz Who doesn't like chocolate? IF your views of chocolate range from a Hershey bar to Ghirardelli to a Trader Joe's bar, don't worry. It's okay. There is nothing wrong (and a lot right) with such inferior chocolates. However, you might find this place to be fantastically overwhelming and enlightening! This is a quaint and novel little spot near downtown Palo Alto. The $5 taste flights are truly amazing. Yes, $5 is a bit pricey if you're looking for a Hershey bar experience. However, this is much more than that! I recommend visiting on a Saturday and tasting something that you wouldn't normally taste elsewhere. Seek to taste a difference in the same way many people taste different types of finer coffees or wines. There is even more variance in chocolate as there is with coffee -- especially if it is created as a culinary craft. When thinking of Sunita de Tourreil (the founder of this wonderfully novel little place), I think that Linda Grayson said it best: "There is nothing better than a friend, unless it is a friend with chocolate."

My favorite hobby is seeking out and eating premium chocolate! I recently heard about The Chocolate Garage on a podcast called The Slow Melt (a must listen if you're a chocolate fan/geek.) Sunita was interviewed and I was really impressed with her industry knowledge, compassion for cacao farmers and her future's program, which is so innovative! I couldn't believe my luck when I found out that her retail space is in Palo Alto! I live about 3.5 hours away and came with my sister last week, it was the #1 to do on my list. Although Sunita wasn't there, her employee was very friendly, knowledgeable and patiently answered all of our questions. We both fell in love with our first tasting and signed up for the future's program. The "Garage" is also a unique and very cool space. Wonderful experience! My new chocolate mecca!
