Quite simply the worst fish and chip shop I have ever endured. After a long break since the last awful experience we thought we'd try them again. As expected it started with an abrupt phone call with someone who clearly didn't want to take the order. After a seemingly reasonable wait we collected our burnt offerings. Chips were unsalted, a dark caramel brown burnt colour and smelled like the inside of a pack-a-day smokers car. The pineapple fritters were dish sponges filled with old oil and the dim sims (that were substituted for our actually order) were uncooked in the middle. This store has been a never ending source of disgusting disappointment and appalling staff. Im sorry to say, but from the get go, we had a bad experience. Customer service was shocking, food hygiene and clothing was terrible and the food was awful. They missed half our order, and when we called to talk to.them about it, there was no urgency ir care given, we had to ask several times if we could get the order that was missing, and no compensation offered ( its the principle of it) When i went back to collect, there were 2 staff, and no customers. I was ignored for 5 minutes while they talked amongst them selves. The battered "fish" was more like pure deep fryed batter. The chips were dark dark brown and super soggy and so bitter from old oil it was inedible. No seasoning or anything. Noone put any care into the food we received I dont know if these people are new owners, but this was my first and only time supporting local. Absolute waste of money and will never be back again.
