Justine Schofield may have her name on all the new Spring dishes at Coffee Club but don't let that fool you -- the food is just simple fare that you could make at home for less than half the price. Sure, the menu photos look appetizing but the reality is below par.
I ordered the Spring crepe with ham, poached egg and asparagus. It came out looking 3 days old (think two limp asparagus spears) and so very tiny for the price.
I hate cafés that lack a full kitchen. The food always tastes microwaved and lacks flavour. That's exactly what you'll get at this outlet.
And the cakes are not much better either. Lonely dried up slices line the cabinets and have definitely seen better days yet are so ridiculously overpriced.
The Coffee Club needs to lift its game or lower its prices.
