I had a great time experiencing the Vietnamese menu. I highly recomment the green papaya salad. The Vietnamese drinks were amazing too. Our server was very knowledgeable of the entire menu and was able to guide my friend who was unsure about what to eat. The unexpected star of the meal came at the very end with the 2016 Chateau Canadel from Bandol. It was recommended by the staff amd we were blown away!! The Consulate will definitely be in my resturant rotation. Price per person: $90–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes

My favorite restaurant. I try to visit whenever I'm in Atlanta. They create a new menu (including drinks) inspired by a randomly selected country every 90 days, and sometimes rotate one or two of the previous country's items into the regular menu. We normally don't order a lot of apps and drinks when we go out, but we splurge on them at the Consulate because there are always so many interesting things to try. The servers are also great. Just the right level of friendly and attentive -- we never seem to wait very long when we want something. Honestly, they've never served me anything that I didn't love. Highly recommended if you like trying new things. My one complaint is that they're only open for dinner, and reservations can be tight. I wish I could eat lunch there too. :) (Note: I used an em dash, but I did not use AI!) Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I am giving The Consulate Restaurant a 5 star although I feel that they were incredibly under staffed for a Saturday night (which can be unforeseen circumstances to a restaurant owner, which I sympathize). To begin, my reservation process over the phone was easy, yet thorough. The young lady on the other end of the phone was friendly and knowledgeable. I booked a private area for my wife and our friends/family to celebrate her. Fast forward to the night of the dinner. The staff was very inviting and accommodating. The server, Cherry, was friendly and worked very hard considering the circumstances. My entire group had zero complaints about the food which was very well prepared. We attended on a Jamaican cuisine night and the food was a 5 out of 5. I had the Jerk chicken and my wife had the Snapper. The drinks were also made very well and flavorful with just amount of bang. The restaurant management made sure that the planning, prep and dinner evening all went smoothly for our occasion. The bottled still water was a bit pricey, however the food was very reasonably priced for the atmosphere and ambiance of the place. I will be going back soon for another occasion I’m sure.
