Our absolute best experience of the Meander on 21 July 2024. We tried booking to stay over at Edi's Wurst, always bookings not available, no sites said it was closed. Looking forward to some good Wurst, stumbled across Shazorro, a quirky, delightfully quiet spot, with German authenticity, the decor, paintings, the accordion music, large dogs who own the best seats, and the colourful host who regaled us with life and horse riding stories. Food was exceptional, we had the wurst platter to try experience as much as possible, there's a bakery section with very special pies and tarts to take a bit of the experience away with you, and there's even accommodation in cottages onsite. Though we stay very far away, I wish them the very best, and hope they will be successful for years to come. If you're looking for the same old restaurant experience (sterile and fast food) maybe try elsewhere, but Shazorro is fun, super interesting, and the best German fare I've had in a very long time.
