Had a lovely meal today to celebrate my hubby birthday with daughter and grandkids couldn’t fault anything all cooked lovely. Staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us…for a Monday lunch time it became busy which says it all for a good pub

This pub changed hands relatively recently so earlier negative reviews may not be relevant. That there maybe have been some teething problems was inevitable but I must say when I visited the food and service was fine. As a resident I did notice that the atmosphere of the place had changed from the previous owners. Hard to describe but it was a bit more free and easy than before. Whether this is a good thing only time will tell.

Came for lunch last week with work friends I ordered a prawn sandwich and was very disappointed,the bread was not nice bakery bread like I was expecting but ordinary supermarket sliced and was hard round the edges and the prawns were absolutely tasteless,the sauce was runny and also flavourless and ran out when picked up.also presentation was not good the sandwich just cut in half,I have worked many years in the catering business both hot food and cold and would never have sent food out like that.
