A big thank you to Freya, Chris and the team on providing a wonderful evening for our company’s 30th anniversary. The Deep was the perfect venue to host our very special night and every detail was considered. From the food, to the service, it was superb. If you’re looking for a venue to host your special celebration, I can’t recommend The Deep more highly enough.

Great day out with the kids and getting an annual pass as part of your ticket, gives you something to do as a random day out when struggling to find things and a cheap day out with the kids later the same year. Plenty to keep the kods busy and loads of places to stop and rest along the way through while relaxing watching the fish. The shark tank was our favourite and definitely worth another visit.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review Jonathon. Thank you for coming back to us. Our plastic toy stock is continually assessed for longevity, quality and educational content or purpose. There remains a demand for good quality, hardy toys which will remain treasured by children and families. The toys we supply are aimed to cater for all, providing sensory and imaginative play, and are particularly popular with children who have additional needs. We are eradicating those toys which are likely to be treated as disposable by purchasers, are flimsy or lightweight in content. Our Retail team are constantly on the lookout for more sustainable solutions to our popular toys, however the cost of alternative items is significantly more expensive and whilst isn’t a sole deciding factor, is considered. We have moved away from lines that have excess packaging and removed these from our range. As we are doing this, we are in turn liaising with suppliers requesting reduced packaging and supporting their moves towards more sustainable packaging solutions. As a charity, we rely on admissions and our gift shop to provide valuable income to support our conservation and education work. We see sustainability as a continual journey and as such we are committed to re-assessing our ranges and suppliers regularly. We appreciate that some products in our shop are still made from plastic and we recognise the value and robustness of this material however we will continue to focus on avoiding single use plastics wherever possible. We very much welcome any suggestions of products or suppliers that you might have which we could incorporate into our shop to help improve sustainability further.
