Ordered the ribeye. It was awful. I tried to eat it but what wasn’t fat was gristle. I told the waitress it was bad and she took the meat off our check. Only charged for the sides. The sad thing was she tried to explain to me about ribeyes being a fatty cut of meat. For the record, I am from Chicago and have been eating prime Midwest beef for over 50 years. I know what a ribeye should be.

Food was awful. Silverware wasn’t clean. People drinking on the job some which are underage. Skylar was my waitress the other day when we ate there and she was absolutely horrible only cares about talking to other employees on the job and being on her phone.

The Depot Restaurant at Cody Creek was an incredibly gorgeous place and the food was tasty too. We entered on one road that looped to the parking lot.  And we left on a different road.   I was in love as we entered the well manicured grounds. We crossed a covered bridge on the entry road. It reminded me of Greenup County, where I grew up, as there are still a few covered bridges remaining. There was a chapel for weddings, a gazebo with a pretty fountain and a picnic shelter. I was told there are also cabins for rent. The restaurant was huge, including a bar area in the middle of the building and a gorgeous entry way with a water fountain, stuffed bear and antler chandelier. So pretty! There was also a store,  but I didn't check it out. Andrew was our server who provided excellent service! He even offered some tips as it was our first visit. We started with a blumming onion served with ranch and their special sauce.  I enjoyed dipping in both sauces. For dinner, I ordered red snapper, a side salad and sweet potato casserole. I had the house made Italian dressing, which was fabulous! The red snapper was prepared perfectly. It was light, flaky and well seasoned. The sweet potato casserole was like having dessert with dinner. So good! I highly recommend you stop and give them a try!
