We attempted to visit the pub this lunchtime after our visit to Haworth. We hadn’t even gotten through the door and the man behind the bar shouted repeatedly “sorry love no dogs”. I do not have a problem with this but he was very unaccomadating and non apologetic. I would never return here. Even without my dog. Service: 1

Lovely pub in a gorgeous setting but criminally overpriced. Food was on the more expensive end (especially as it was nothing special) but the price of a pint was outrageous. £7 for a peroni! In the centre of Leeds or Manchester you're looking at £6, and can find £5 - why a pub in the middle of the countryside gets off charging seven quid a pint I don't know. My wife and I used the Dog & Gun for breakfast & evening meals from 4th-8th April 2024 while staying at the Leeming Wells Hotel up the road. The manager and staff were attentive and helpful at all times. The food was delicious and the atmosphere relaxed. A great country pub with fantastic views towards Oxenhope and Oxenhope Moor. We plan to return when in the area again. Parking: Free adjacent car park Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips, Pudding, Steak Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot
