Eagle hotel Room reasonably spacious, clean and a comfy bed. Shower weak with sensitive temperature adjustment. Some chairs need attention, either wobbly and don't feel safe or no padding both in the bars and the one in room 11. Service was a little 'easy going', no great enthusiasm. We sat down but no menus were brought to us, then read the sign to order food at the bar. Fetched ourselves a menu and ordered. Works okay if you're used to it I suppose. When the food came it was very good. Nice burger and very good chips. The home made lasagne was very nice with lovely garlic bread, plenty of garlic on it, which was great. I would have preferred the salad and coleslaw on a separate plate though. Overall a very pleasant pub meal. Service: 2

Great food! We had an evening meal at the Hotel last Wednesday. My husband had the Indian mixed grill which was he really enjoyed, and I had the best steak and Guinness pie ever! Meat so tender and just gorgeous. Big portions. No complaints here! Service: 4

Stayed at the Eagles hotel with all the family, during the festive period in between Christmas and new year. We found the staff to be warm and welcoming, especially the bar staff, one guy in particular, (who's name has escaped me, sorry)was particularly friendly. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Food was delicious and always very hot. The hotel had an oldy worldy feel about it rather like a manor house with lovely pieces of furniture and decor to match. Would like to return during the summer months and hopefully then it won't rain all the time. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Great value
