AVOID EATING THERE, JUST GET A DRINK TO ENJOY THE VIEW I recently visited The Edge Restaurant in Montville for a Sunday lunch and, unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing despite the beautiful view. Pros: View: The view is absolutely stunning and definitely a highlight of this place. It's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a drink while taking in the scenery. Cons: Service: The service was appalling. A waiter stepped on my 25 kg dog and didn't bother to apologize or even acknowledge it. When my meal arrived, it was missing the carrot puree as shown on their online menu. The first waiter I approached completely ignored me, and the second waiter treated my request for the puree as an inconvenience. When he finally brought it, the puree was cold, straight from the fridge, without even attempting to warm it up. Food: The food was just okay, but it would have been better if they served what was actually described on their menu and shown in their pictures. Conclusion: I would not recommend spending your money here for a meal. Instead, perhaps visit for a drink to enjoy the view, but find another place in Montville for dining. There are plenty of other options where your money would be better spent. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: A$40–60 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

This used to be a good restaurant. Today it wasn’t up to pub food standard. The crumbed covering on my barramundi was dark brown and burnt. My partner ordered a chicken dish with a GFA option clearly marked on our e order. Apparently the e system did not communicate our request to the kitchen. The new system needs tweaking? It was delivered with a non gluten free bun. After we complained the manager advised that the chicken dish cannot be prepared as gf. Then why the GFA designation? We arrived at 1pm and were advised of a 45 minute service delay. We ordered at 1.20pm and received our meal at 2.30pm. The manager insisted that they only missed their delivery promise by 5 minutes. Back to school for maths? Such a pity because the view is spectacular - it warrants a more professional business!

We went to this place as the photos on the internet looked great.
The views would have been nice had it not been raining. I would have given 2 stars if the weather had been clear to see the views.
That is the only redeeming feature of this lousy restaurant.
The food was terrible, overpriced and re-heated leftovers.
We ordered a burger, fish and chips and fish curry. The burger was dry, the salads totally bland with hardly any dressing, the fish and chips crumbed, re-heated and not the proper battered fish and chips. The fish and chips was $30, the dry burger $28!
You can buy better burgers at Grill'd done to juicy perfection.
The fish and chips was not the battered variety which is the best kind and it was dry, re-heated served with a tasteless salad. The fish in the curry was not fresh.
I was so embarrassed to recommend this restaurant to my family!! Never again will we visit this place.
If you want good food, try your local bistro or RSL and as for the views, just go to a lookout, there are plenty around Montville. What a waste of time and money!!

The prices at this restaurant are over the top.
Go elsewhere where you can have better food at reasonable prices
