Really nice place with a very friendly owner who was easy to talk to and made me feel welcome. The food was spot on. I ordered 2 large cod and they were both a really good size, nice crispy batter and cooked perfectly. Also got 5 battered sausages, a saveloy, 1 large chips and 2 medium chips – the portions were very generous and everything tasted fresh. The curry sauce was lovely as well and went perfectly with the chips. Overall great service, good prices and quality food. Definitely one of the better chip shops around. Place is a joke I went in ordered 2 portion chips they gave us 1 portion and made us wait 8 mins fir other portion and when I complained about it I was told to give food back and he give money back the service in here is awful worst I ever been treated in a takeaway shop Service: Takeaway Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I’d been craving fish and chips all week. Did an online search and found The Fish Inn, in Barking. The service was excellent. I was willing to wait as the fish was being cooked. Good packaging, so the food was not all over the place when I got home. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Good portion size. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
