This spot is easily one of my favorites. It has a really distinct vibe you don’t find just anywhere, plus the rooftop views are some of the best in Austin. It’s an ideal place to meet up with friends, have a few drinks, and play some pool. And if Marc is working the bar, you’re in for a great time—he keeps things fun, makes excellent drinks, and somehow convinces you to stay longer than you meant to. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great atmosphere! The crowd was around the same age range, and the free, cheetah felt pool table is the best part of the bar. Unfortunately, the service at the bar completely soured things for me. I order a simple mixed drink and a beer, I asked the bartender for the total and was told $20. I handed him a $20 bill, and I was met with attitude and clear frustration that I hadn’t tipped, despite not even being given the chance to get change. When I asked him to break another $20 so I could tip, he claimed he didn’t have change, but still continued to pressure me about tipping. What made it worse is that later in the night, I ordered the exact same drinks from a different bartender and was told the total was $17. So now I'm left me feeling like I had been overcharged the first time on top of being guilt-tripped about tipping. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
