I visited this place with some expectations, but unfortunately I was a little disappointed. The food was just average not bad, but not something special either. What disappointed me the most was the customer service, which was not satisfactory and could definitely be improved. Another issue was the washroom. It was not clean and there was no water available, which is very inconvenient for customers. Cleanliness and basic facilities are very important for a restaurant experience. We also ordered kotthu, and they just kept it on the table without giving plates. We had to ask them for plates ourselves, which didn’t feel like good service. However, I must say the atmosphere and ambience of the place were really nice and pleasant. Because of that, I would give this place 3 stars overall, but there is still a lot of room for improvement, especially in service and cleanliness. I dined in-house and had the Kashmiri chicken cheese kottu and a mango lassi, both were delicious. They have a pleasant second floor dining area overlooking southern Bambalapitiya. Management and staff were friendly and accommodating. Also they are open very late for dining, 2:30 am. My new fave in Colombo. I have had the pleasure of dining at 'the foodcycle' on numerous occasions, and each visit has been nothing short of exceptional. This restaurant has firmly secured its place as one of my favorites, and I eagerly anticipate returning again. The food at is simply outstanding. Every dish I have tried has been meticulously prepared, bursting with flavor, and a true delight for the taste buds. Overall a great experience!
