Michelin selection.
Simple standard.

This historic Soho watering hole, once a favourite haunt of writers and artists such as Dylan Thomas, Brendan Behan and Francis Bacon, has only seven tables in its oxblood and wood-panelled upstairs restaurant. It’s run in a bohemian style and offers traditional, honest cooking with integrity and flavour. More info

I'm often in London and there are multitudes of fantastic pubs in this great city. The French House is a bit unique amongst them for many reasons. A storied and very quirky place in Soho that is well worth a visit. It was the haunt of some legendary characters in past times and still draws in an eclectic crowd. A slight let down on this visit was the supercilious attitude of one of the bartenders. Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
